In the latest “Outgrowing offsetting” policy brief, prepared by the IYRP Global Alliance Working Group on Pastoralism & Carbon Markets”, the authors argue that sustaining rangeland–pastoralism systems on their own terms, with the institutions that underpin them, is a valuable climate strategy in its own right—it does not need to be justified as compensation for continued fossil fuel use.
