The Commission on Nomadic Peoples is pleased to call for submissions for the CNP Best Student Essay Prize 2026 on the broad topic of nomadic peoples, as defined in our journal, Nomadic Peoples.
The winner will be awarded a prize of £250 and guaranteed free, open-access publication in Nomadic Peoples in 2027.
Eligibility
Essays should have been written during the period of graduate study or soon afterwards (within a year of completing) and should not exceed 7,500 words.
Exceptional undergraduate students may also apply.
Please submit your papers by October 15, 2026.
